History of Hetauda
Hetauda grew as Makwanpur's administrative and industrial centre where the Kathmandu Valley meets the inner Terai. Cement plants, vegetable markets and the Makwanpur Gadhi corridor made it a key staging point on the old Tribhuvan Highway before the Kathmandu–Tarai Fast Track shortened valley–plains travel.
